Although not within the City limits of Manhattan, we understand this project affects many Manhattan-area residents and local workers so we wanted to pass along this notice. Work begins tomorrow and is expected to last until about Christmas Eve.

Pottawatomie County Public Works will be closing Cara’s Way in Manhattan for one block just west of the intersection of Excel Road and Cara’s Way beginning Tuesday, December 13, 2022 for a repair project. The project will consist of removing and replacing an area of deteriorated concrete pavement across the width of the road.

Cara’s Way will be closed to through traffic during the construction period, however, homeowners in the construction area will have access to their driveway. The intersection of Cara’s Way and Caitlin Drive will remain open.

Work is expected to be completed by Friday, December 23, 2022, weather permitting.
