U.S. Representative Tracey Mann (KS-01) has taken a stand against the Biden Administration’s approach to American energy production. In a recent vote, Rep. Mann supported H.R. 7176, the Unlocking our Domestic LNG Potential Act, which aims to lift restrictions on liquified natural gas (LNG) imports and exports, with the exception of those involving foreign adversaries, and streamline the export approval process.
“President Biden’s war on American energy threatens the livelihoods of Americans, jeopardizes our allies’ energy security, and compromises our national security,” stated Rep. Mann. “This legislation will end the misguided policy coming from the White House by lifting the arbitrary pause on LNG exports and removing unelected bureaucrats from the LNG export approval process. My vote sends a strong message that President Biden cannot politicize American energy and our national security.”
The bill, H.R. 7176, was successfully passed in the U.S. House of Representatives with a vote of 224-200 and will now proceed to the U.S. Senate for further consideration.
This is not the first time Rep. Mann has shown support for initiatives aimed at bolstering American energy production. In March 2023, he voted in favor of H.R. 1, the Lower Energy Costs Act, which sought to increase domestic energy production, lower costs for families, reform permitting processes, reverse anti-energy policies, streamline energy infrastructure and exports, and enhance the production and processing of critical minerals.
Rep. Mann’s actions reflect a commitment to safeguarding American energy interests and ensuring a secure energy future for the nation.
