Census Bureau: More men than women in Manhattan in 2019

Of the 55,290 people living in Manhattan in 2019, 49.3 percent (27,248) were women and 50.7 percent (28,042) were men, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by the Little Apple Times.

Males 18 and over outnumbered females in the same age group by a ratio of 21,714-to-20,339. In the 65 and over age range, there were 2,715 females and 2,023 males.
