Riley County ranked 100th in Kansas for resident earnings in 2019

Riley County ranked 100th among counties in Kansas by annual earnings per resident, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The median income of Riley County residents was $23,025 per year, adjusted for inflation. It had 26,490 households with a population of 75,056.

The county with the highest median resident income in the state was Johnson County with $43,408 per year after adjusting for inflation – $20,383 more than Riley County. It had 228,592 households with a population of 591,506.

The county with the lowest median resident income in the state was Elk County with $20,737 per year after adjusting for inflation – $2,288 less than Riley County. It had 1,128 households with a population of 2,523.
