Junction City ranked 174th among cities in Kansas by annual earnings per resident, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The median income of Junction City residents was $30,479 per year, adjusted for inflation. It had 9,163 households with a population of 23,104.

The city with the highest median resident income in the state was Mission Hills with $111,250 per year after adjusting for inflation – $80,771 more than Junction City. It had 1,218 households with a population of 3,574.

The city with the lowest median resident income in the state was Highland with $10,750 per year after adjusting for inflation – $19,729 less than Junction City. It had 205 households with a population of 1,152.
