Walters Wellness Center on the campus of Highland Community will be a busy place on Monday, Oct. 3. College admissions representatives and high school juniors and seniors will cover the courts to share information about post-secondary education.
“This is a wonderful opportunity for local high school students to begin collecting information about different colleges and, for seniors especially, to narrow down their options in the college search. The goal of each college attending is to provide information, answer questions, and encourage insightful conversation,” said Taylor Marriott, HCC Director of Admissions.
At this time, 48 colleges from Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska and Oklahoma have registered to attend this free event at Highland.
Marriott stated, “Highland Community College is happy to be able to host such a beneficial event for our surrounding high school students. No matter the students’ wishes for their next step: technical or community college, public or private university, in-state or out-of-state, they’ll all be together in one place.”
Every year, the Kansas Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers (KACRAO) develops a calendar of college fairs that takes place mostly during the month of October. The college fair circuit covers the entire state of Kansas to provide access to information about college—even in our rural Kansas areas. Learn more about KACRAO at kacrao.org.
