In the early morning hours of October 27, 2022, an unknown subject slashed tires on multiple vehicles belonging to the Geary County Sheriff Office, Junction City Police Department, and the Grandview Plaza Police Department.
Upon reviewing surveillance video footage, Grandview Plaza Police Officers were able to identify the subject as Justin Frank Nienhaus from previous law enforcement contact and responded to a residence in Grandview Plaza, which he has been remodeling. Nienhaus was taken into custody by Grandview Plaza Police Officers with the help of Junction City Police Officers and Geary County Sheriff Deputy.
Nienhaus was transported by Grandview Plaza Police Officers to the Geary County Detention Center, where he was booked in pending charges of Criminal Damage to Property in reference to the Grandview Plaza PD case.
Grandview Plaza Police Officers executed a search warrant at the residence following the arrest in connection with the case. The criminal investigation is ongoing. Each Agency will file their own cases in reference to the damage sustained by that Agency.
The Grandview Plaza Police Department would like to thank the Geary County Sheriff Office and the Junction City Police Department for their assistance in this investigation.
No further information will be released at this time.
