Census Bureau: 3.2% of people in Morris County identified as multiracial in 2021

Of the 5,377 citizens living in Morris County in 2021, 96.8% said they were only one race, while 3.2% said they were two or more races, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained in June.

The most prevalent racial group among citizens in Morris County who reported being of a single race in 2021 was white, comprising 95.6% or 5,138 individuals. Following them, Asian accounted for 0.5% and totaled 27 individuals.

The percentage of multiracial residents in Morris County is 2.9% lower than the state average, which stands at 6.1%.
