KDOT construction will affect traffic within the City of Washington starting next week.
Beginning Monday, August 15, 2022, the eastbound lane of US 36 through the city limits of Washington, Kansas, will be closed. Eastbound traffic will be diverted to the center lane of the highway with road signs, barriers, signage, etc.
Crews will work their way through the project with traffic changes occurring in different locations as the project progresses.
KDOT urges all motorists to be alert and obey the warning signs when approaching and driving through a highway work zone.
