Tracey Mann, U.S. Congressman representing Kansas’ 1st district, shared updates on border security, veterans, and rural health care in a series of posts on August 29, 2025.
In a post made at midnight, Mann emphasized the significance of border policy in recent elections and praised former President Trump’s approach: "Border security was the number one issue last November, and President Trump’s results speak for themselves. Later that day, Mann highlighted his visits to sites honoring military service members: "While traveling across the Big First, I visited the Kansas Veterans Cemetery in WaKeeney and the Cheyenne County Veterans Memorial to honor those who served our nation with courage and conviction. With Fort Riley and the 1st Infantry Division—the oldest continuously serving" (August 29, 2025)
By evening, Mann addressed health care access in rural areas: "Access to quality health care is vital to our rural communities. I visited SunPorch in Smith Center—where I met Blondina Kuhlmann, who just celebrated her 100th birthday—and toured Graham County Hospital in Hill City to learn more about how providers are caring for Kansans across" (August 29, 2025)
Mann has represented Kansas's largely rural "Big First" congressional district since replacing Roger Marshall in 2021. Born in Quinter and residing in Salina, Mann graduated from Kansas State University with a BS degree in 2000.
