REQUESTS FOR PROPOSALS
Notice is hereby given that sealed proposals for phone service for Geary County offices
and combined phone and internet service for Geary County offices, will be received at the Geary
County Clerk’s Office on or before the 9th day of September 2022, at 12 o’clock p.m., to be opened
at the regular meeting of the Geary County Commission in the Commission room located at 200
E 8th Street, Junction City, Kansas, on September 12, 2022. The said services and goods to be
provided incident to said proposal are more particularly described as follows:
1) A phone-only bid to provide telephone service and telephones to Geary County
Offices as set forth by the Geary County Commission, including specification
regarding cost per line, available features, and telephone options; and
2) A combined phone and internet bid to provide telephone services and telephones in
addition to internet services to Geary County offices as set forth by the Geary County
Commission including specifications regarding internet speed, cost per line,
equipment options, and available features.
Bidders must specify in their proposals that should the above work be awarded to them they will
bind themselves to provide said services. The successful bidder must also certify that the bidder
will be responsible for and maintain full workmen’s compensation insurance, as required by state
law and regulation, for all labor supplied incident to this contract, and shall indemnify and hold
Geary County harmless from any and all claims of injury, or loss or damage to persons or property
arising out of the bidder’s performance of this contract.
The required specifications of the services and goods/equipment may be examined at the
Geary County Human Resources Office in the Geary County Office Building.
The Geary County Commission reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals
for the above work as they may deem best for the interest of the County, and to waive any and all
irregularities in the bid or bid process. The bid selection process is scheduled to take place on
September 16, 2022, and will be selected after review of the bids that were opened at September
16, 2022 regular meeting. The contract to provide phone and/or combined phone and internet
services to Geary County Offices as directed by the Geary County Commission will be awarded
to the least expensive and/or best qualified responsible bidder. Geary County reserves the right to
