Washington, D.C. – On April 26, 2023, U.S. Representative Tracey Mann (KS-01) released the following statement regarding his yes vote on H.R. 2811, the Limit, Save, Grow Act of 2023.

“The Biden Administration’s spending addiction has created massive inflation and caused our national debt to climb to the unthinkable height of $31 trillion, more than the entire U.S. economy,” said Rep. Mann. “Unlike Washington Democrats’ attempts to give President Biden another no-limit credit card, the Limit, Save, Grow Act proposes a sensible increase to the debt ceiling that will limit future government spending, reclaim unspent COVID money, reduce the federal regulatory state, and promote pro-growth energy and economic policies. This legislation is the first step in a negotiation to get government spending under control and get our economy back on track.”

The Limit, Save, Grow Act will save taxpayers more than $4.5 trillion over the next 10 years, decrease American dependence on Communist China, defund the IRS expansion, and curb inflation, all while protecting both our national defense and Social Security and Medicare benefits for seniors.

The Limit, Save, Grow Act passed the House of Representatives by a vote of 217-215 and will be sent to the U.S. Senate for further review.
