U.S. Representative Tracey Mann has announced his reappointment to the House Agriculture Committee for a third consecutive term. This decision was made public on December 17, 2024.
Representative Mann emphasized his commitment to advocating for Kansas agriculture and conservative values. "I came to Congress to advocate for Kansas agriculture and fight for our conservative Kansas values," he stated. He highlighted the current challenges faced by America's agricultural community, stressing the need for long-term farm policy that ensures certainty, protects crop insurance, encourages agricultural trade programs, and supports research and education in the sector. "Serving on the House Agriculture Committee better positions me to meet that need," he added.
During his previous tenure with the committee in the 118th Congress, Rep. Mann held significant roles such as Chairman of the Subcommittee on Livestock, Dairy, and Poultry. He led initiatives like the Ensuring Access to Risk Management Act and introduced the American Farmers Feed the World Act. Additionally, Mann actively participated in legislative discussions, speaking 27 times on the House floor about passing a comprehensive Farm Bill and played a key role in advancing related legislation.
Rep. Mann's efforts have been focused on securing priorities important to Kansans within national agricultural policies. His contributions include achieving 96% of these priorities in foundational legislative texts.
