U.S. Representatives Tracey Mann and Richard Hudson have introduced a new bill, H.R. 38, known as the Constitutional Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act. This legislation aims to establish nationwide reciprocity for concealed carry license holders and residents of constitutional carry states, asserting the protection of Second Amendment rights.

Rep. Mann emphasized the need for this bill by stating, "At every turn, federal bureaucrats and Washington Democrats are relentlessly trying to undermine the Second Amendment rights of law-abiding Americans." He added that constitutional rights should not be affected by state borders.

Rep. Hudson echoed these sentiments, saying, "Our Second Amendment right does not disappear when we cross invisible state lines, and this commonsense legislation guarantees that." He highlighted the bill's role in allowing citizens to travel between states without legal concerns over conflicting state laws.

Data from the Crime Prevention Research Center indicates that nearly 22 million Americans hold concealed carry permits. Former President Trump has also expressed support for full concealed carry reciprocity following his election victory.

Rep. Mann has a history of advocating for gun rights. In January 2024, he introduced the RIFLE Act targeting actions by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms (ATF). He also opposed measures by the Biden-Harris Administration that he viewed as restrictive to gun ownership.
