Yesterday, U.S. Representative Tracey Mann from Kansas voted to overturn five regulations from the Biden administration. These include two California rules that ban the manufacturing of gas-emitting vehicles and mandate electric vehicles. The U.S. House of Representatives also reversed a waiver for California regarding heavy-duty trucks.

Rep. Mann expressed his approval of the Congressional Review Acts, stating: “America needs an all-of-the-above energy strategy, not a one-size-fits-California mandate,” and added, “President Biden implemented eleventh-hour, Green New Deal rules that would devastate rural communities and drive up costs for American families." He emphasized the need for more freedom and fewer regulations for Kansas families, manufacturers, and energy producers.

The following resolutions were involved in these reversals:

- H.J.Res.60 targets a National Park Service rule restricting motor vehicle use in Glen Canyon National Recreation Area.

- H.J.Res.78 addresses a Fish and Wildlife Service rule designating Longfin Smelt as endangered in San Francisco Bay-Delta.

- H.J.Res.87 concerns an EPA waiver requiring truck makers to sell zero-emission trucks.

- H.J.Res.88 involves an EPA waiver allowing California to ban gas-powered vehicle sales by 2035.

- H.J.Res.89 relates to an EPA waiver for nitrogen oxide engine emission standards affecting heavy-duty engines.
