U.S. Representative Tracey Mann has expressed support for the House Agriculture Committee's reconciliation bill, highlighting its efforts to improve accountability in the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) and bolster the farm economy. Furthermore, the bill directs funds towards areas with high returns on investment such as addressing maintenance backlogs at land-grant universities like Kansas State University for agricultural research and enhancing livestock biosecurity against threats like New World Screwworm.

Mann underscored that reforms to SNAP are designed not just for efficiency or cost-saving but also to preserve benefits for those genuinely in need while encouraging able-bodied individuals without dependents to re-enter the workforce. He stated that these changes aim "to protect and preserve the SNAP program for those who need it most."
