On Friday, Jan. 31, former Manhattan High School standout Owen Goode’s current college team, the Emporia State Hornets, won 7-4 in their NCAA Division II baseball game against the Metro State Roadrunners.

The game took place at Wendell Simmons Field. This was their first matchup against the Roadrunners this season.

The Hornets’ next game is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 1 at 7 p.m. at Wendell Simmons Field against Southeastern Oklahoma State Savage Storm.
