Tracey Mann highlights agricultural legislation and research initiatives for Kansas

U.S. Congressman Tracey Mann, who represents Kansas’s 1st district, highlighted recent legislative efforts and investments in agricultural research through a series of posts on social media in early August 2025.

On August 1, Mann wrote about new federal legislation supporting the state’s farming sector: "The One Big Beautiful Bill delivered for Kansas agriculture: stronger crop insurance, higher reference prices, more trade promotion funding, and key investments in animal health research. More on how @HouseAgGOP is supporting farmers: https://t.co/uujXCQ1EeM".

Later that day, he emphasized the region’s leadership in animal health innovation: "The Big First is home to the crown jewels of animal health research, where world-renowned innovation strengthens our food supply and protects global food security. I met with the Farm Journal Foundation to discuss advancing ag research to prevent future disease outbreaks before https://t.co/NH2sviWhKp".

On August 4, Mann again referenced local strengths and recent initiatives: "The Big First is home to crown jewels of the animal health corridor. Thanks to the OBBBA, we’re investing in science that helps prevent disease outbreaks before they happen and protects the future of American agriculture. https://t.co/yLHGrtq6nP".

Tracey Mann has represented Kansas’s 1st District since 2021 after succeeding Roger Marshall. Born in Quinter, Kansas in 1976 and currently residing in Salina, Mann graduated from Kansas State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in 2000.
