Tracey Mann, U.S. Congressman representing Kansas’s 1st district since 2021, marked the anniversary of the Abbey Gate attack in Kabul and discussed his background and recent visits to local agricultural and energy facilities in a series of posts on social media.
On August 26, 2025, Mann posted about the Kabul airport bombing that occurred four years prior: "Four years ago today, the Abbey Gate attack in Kabul took the lives of thirteen courageous U.S. service members. We will never forget their sacrifice or the consequences of failed leadership." (August 26, 2025).
Later that day, Mann shared insights from an interview with RFD-TV: "I spoke with @OfficialRFDTV about how growing up on a family farm and feedlot taught me the values of faith, family, hard work, and service, and how those same values guide my work in Congress today." (August 26, 2025).
On August 27, he highlighted a visit to Central Valley Ag and the Lincoln Power Plant: "The Big First economy relies on our agricultural and energy producers to fuel our lives and feed our families. I visited @CentralValleyAg and the Lincoln Power Plant to talk about fertilizer production, farm input costs, and the importance of an all-of-the-above energy strategy" (August 27, 2025).
Mann was born in Quinter, Kansas in 1976 and currently resides in Salina. He graduated from Kansas State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in 2000. He began serving as representative for Kansas's “Big First” district after replacing Roger Marshall in Congress.
