93 percent of applicants to Kansas State University were admitted for fall 2018

At Kansas State University, 91 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 53 percent are male, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year public institution in Manhattan enrolled 22,221 students in fall 2018, including 17,869 in undergraduate and 4,352 in graduate programs, data shows. 6.6 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

79 percent of undergraduates are residents of Kansas, and 19 percent are residents of other states. 2 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (78 percent) and Hispanic or Latino (8 percent).

The school admitted 93 percent of the 8,685 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 43 percent enrolled.
