DOWNERS GROVE, ILL. – The Foundation for the Restoration of America (FFROA) awarded a $2,000 scholarship to St. Mary’s College student Joseph Grieco following his completion of the Constitutional Study Program.
Grieco is from St. Mary’s, Kansas and is on track to graduate with his Bachelor of Arts in 2026. After taking the free courses in the Constitutional Study Program provided through Hillsdale College, he reflected on what he learned from the program.
“It is up to those of us who value the hard work of the Founding Fathers to reinstitute the Principles of the Constitution and Declaration in the way that the Fathers would have interpreted them. Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness can only be achieved if We the People of the United States do our part to learn about these historical documents and incorporate their principles back into American Society,” he said.
Grieco also reflected on the necessity of strong leadership for the future of the nation to prosper.
“Those Americans who truly care for the common good of America must take it upon themselves to reinstitute the principles of the Constitution,” he said.”First, we must study and learn about this document, and then we must join groups that seek to protect its principles and re-establish them into American culture today.”
The Foundation’s Executive Director Christine Altenberger shared her excitement about Grieco receiving the scholarship and completing the program.
“Joseph is a brilliant young man, and we’re pleased that he enjoyed learning from the Constitutional Study Scholarship Program,” Altenberger said. “This program is made for students like Joseph who love their country and want to learn more about the ideals that made it great in the first place.”
