MANHATTAN, KAN. – U.S. Representative Tracey Mann (KS-01) has announced the appointment of Sarah Henry as his new District Director. Henry, who joined Rep. Mann's team in June 2021, has been serving as District Agriculture Representative and Deputy District Director.

Rep. Mann expressed his confidence in Henry's abilities, stating, "When Sarah joined our team in 2021, she had already spent five years advocating for agriculture both on and off Capitol Hill. Since then, Sarah has served Kansans in the Big First with empathy, loyalty, and tenacity. She is a consummate professional, and I have the utmost confidence in her abilities. Her experience with both agricultural policy and production agriculture will continue to serve her well as she continues to fight for Kansans in this new role."

In response to her appointment, Henry expressed her honor to serve on Congressman Mann's team and her dedication to the values held by the constituents of the First District. She said, "Through my travels across the First District, it has been clear that those we serve know the value of working hard, standing firm for what they believe in, and caring for their neighbors and communities. It's these values that Congressman Mann takes with him to Washington, and that's why I'm excited to continue to serve the First District as Congressman Mann's District Director."

Sarah Henry holds a Bachelor of Science degree in agriculture education from Iowa State University. Prior to joining Rep. Mann's team, she gained valuable experience working for Rep. Adrian Smith, the House Appropriations Committee's Subcommittee on Agriculture, and the National Corn Growers Association. Henry has also been a member of Kansas Agriculture and Rural Leadership (KARL) Class XVI. Alongside her professional pursuits, she manages a cow calf operation on her farm north of Manhattan, where she resides with her husband Dalton and their son Samuel.

In her new role as District Director, Henry will oversee Rep. Mann's district team, which provides assistance to Kansans in the Big First on various matters. The team can help with navigating federal agencies, resolving federal tax matters, expediting passports, seeking military academy nominations, applying for congressional student internships, and arranging visits to Washington, D.C.
