The City of Lawrence has two projects this month to improve the Levee Trail.
First, crews will begin a resurfacing project on Friday, Nov. 4. Work will start on the trail near N 8th St. & Oak St. and continue to the east roughly 4500 ft. This project is expected to be completed by Saturday, Nov. 5.
Next, the City will complete a Rip-Rap project near the Riverfront Dog Park. Work will begin on Monday, Nov. 7 and is expected to conclude on Friday, Nov. 18.
The City of Lawrence is asking all trail users to avoid these areas during working hours (7 a.m. – 4 p.m.) as the projects can be dangerous for nearby pedestrians. Signs will also be posted along the route.
